Certificate of Advanced Study in Prevention Science, with an Emphasis on Media-Based Prevention
The course was conducted with the support of INL and organized by the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (SE-CICAD) in collaboration with Claremont Graduate University, California, and the Colombo Plan. Held virtually from June 5 to December 1, 2023, it was aimed at 22 expert professionals in the area of prevention from six countries of the region (Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Panama, and Paraguay). The main objective of the course was for experts to develop and implement an evidence-based prevention campaign in their respective countries.
The final module was held in person from November 27 to December 2, 2023, in São José dos Campos, Brazil in the framework of the annual conference of the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP) National Chapter of Brazil, where the 22 experts presented the final project proposal and took the final exam of the course.
