Human Right and COVID-19

Bright Oniovokukor - 18 March 2020

The panic that has been triggered about COVID-19 is making people to panic and that panic state are spreading the virus.

Most viral ailment are self limiting hence if those that are infected are quarantined it would them undergo the limiting period where they may no longer be able to spread it. However, it is clear that even before symptoms begin to appear, transmission may have been taking place hence the role high level of personal hygiene is key.

The challenge in Nigeria now is that many people are running home, thinking they can get the best attention here or they feel that the virus may be limited by the weather here. People in red alert zone start running towards free zone.

When people are not allowed to return to their country due to COVID-19, would it not be considered as violation of human right. I feel everyone should just understand the situation we are in, limit movement.
