On November 2nd, 2020, ISSUP members and Youth Forum Pakistan’s team in Lahore organized a meeting which was hosted by Dr. Ali Sabri, a member of ISSUP and Advisor Youth Forum Pakistan (for Drug Use Prevention) and Ms. Adila Saba, a member of ISSUP and Advisor Youth Forum Pakistan (for Drug Use Prevention) at ESPERENCE NGO’s Office Lahore. The main agenda of this meeting was to discuss how youth is getting involved in certain activities like awareness of substance use; how to prevent the society from adverse effects of addiction; how to create an attractive Work plan. House was open and welcomed all suggestions and valuable comments from each member. As the first step was suggested to start from the awareness and prevention activities/seminars, lectures and trainings in different schools, colleges and universities.
Furthermore, a team of young professionals including psychologists and health care professionals and educators will provide free counseling sessions for these students who have some problems related to drug addiction and other psychological issues. And Free Medical and Mental health camps will be also organized with collaboration between Government and Non-Government organizations. Tasks and responsibilities were assigned to all according to the mutual understanding and willingness for future activities.
