Balkh province,Mazar City with an area of ​​16,500 square kilometers has a capacity of one and a half million peoples and is located in the North region Afghanistan.

According to a census conducted by the UNODC office in 2009, the number of drug addicts is estimated 120,000.

There are four treatment centers and one special care center in Balkh province until 2021.

A total of 280 beds are provided for patients 24th hours service delivery free of charge. 

These centers offer healthy drug and psychotherapy treatment packages for men, women, teenagers and children.

The treatment period is 45 days.

The follow-up period lasts up to 9 months.

 Treatment centers carry out drug awareness programs at the community level.

  In these centers, the number of male and female professional staff reaches 120 people, most of whom have received UTC programs with support of INL,CP.Org.as well.
