DRUG ABUSE, DRUG POLICY, AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Drug abuse is a major contributing factor to violence against women. Partners who abuse drugs are more likely to be violence against their wife and girl children, this may involve not only sexual violence but also physical and psychological violence.

The increasing number of rape cases globally can also be attributed to increased drug use amongst youths and adults. Some drugs increase sex drive and affect the mind, hence leading to irrational decisions. Some drugs make you become violence. This is how drugs influence or increase violence against women.

Some drug policy doesn't take into consideration the female gender, we need to advocate for better drug policy that will help eliminate violence against women.

YADAF helps to sensitize and educate the world on how drug abuse fuels violence against women. To help eliminate violence against women, we need to fight against drug abuse which is a major but neglected causative factor.
