The Line Up Live Up Trainer Manual has been prepared for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) by Peer van der Kreeft, HoGent University College Ghent, Department for Education, Health and Social Work.

The manual looks to promote sport and physical activity as the means by which to help youth avoid violence, crime and drug use.

The skills training program provided should ideally be implemented alongside wider community-based initiatives that focus on the development of young people more generally.

The Manual has been developed to assist:

• Coaches
• Trainers
• Youth workers
• Other professionals working with young people to deliver sports-based activities for males and females aged between 3 and 18.

It includes ten sessions designed to be run in sports centers, schools (as curricular and/or extra-curricular programs), and other community settings.
