Head of Subdivision: Substance Abuse, Prevention, Drug Control and Rehabilitation in the Directorate Social Welfare Services in the Ministry of Health and Social Service
She has 36 years’ experience in the social welfare field and has extensive knowledge regarding social work.
She is an expert is in the field of substance abuse and her main functions currently is to nationally co-ordinate the development, formulation, implementation, monitoring of policy in the field of substance abuse, both public and private sectors.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Namibia.
She is Vice President of the Social Work and Psychology Council in Namibia.
She serves on various Boards as a representative of the Ministry of Health and Social Services
She is co-author of a manuscript titled AUDIT, AUDIT-C AND AUDIT-3: Drinking Patterns and Screening for Harmful, Hazardous and Dependent Drinking in Katutura, Namibia.
Also co-author of a Research article on Alcohol and HIV in Namibia(www.aidstar-one.com/focus-areasng in Katutura, Namibia
She wrote an article on prevention in Compendium of African Union
