Addiction Specialist

To work as a part of Sligo Social Services Multi-Disciplinary team to deliver a Housing First’ approach to individuals experiencing long term homelessness in Counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

The role of the Addiction Specialist will be based in Letterkenny Co Donegal on three days per week and in Sligo town on two days per week.

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract of employment for 35 hours per week.

Successful applicants will have :

• Qualification at degree level in Nursing, Social Work, Social Care or related discipline
• Post Graduate qualification in addiction
• Registration with ACI
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Addiction Services
• Experience of working with service users who are or have been homeless
• Experience of working with service users identified as having a dual diagnosis
• Access to car and full driving licence.
