This post is located in the Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Section (PTRS), Drugs, Laboratory and Scientific Services Branch (DLSSB), Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs (DPA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, Austria. The incumbent will report to the Chief of the Section.
The focus of this position is to plan, organize, coordinate and/or provide substantive backstopping to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the UNODC strategies, policies and programme activities with regard to the thematic areas covered by the Section with a particular focus on prevention of drug use and other risky behaviours (as per the UNODC/WHO International Standards on Drug Use Prevention), as well as on ensuring access to controlled drugs for medical purposes.
