Ally Lee

Researcher

Ally has a BA Hons. in History and an MA in History and Film Studies. His particular specialism is in contemporary French history and cinema. 

Ally spent the summer of 2014 in Uganda with UYDEL and has previously worked part-time for Mentor Foundation International to support the charity’s database development work. Ally now joins ISSUP on a part time basis to support the work for ISSUP’s website and in particular its Knowledge Share section.

Outside of work he maintains an interest in cultural history, is learning to play the piano, and is currently drafting a PhD proposal on the subject of contemporary French immigration cinema.

Ally is also a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest and played football at academy level for several years before a number of serious injuries (including a broken hip) caused him to take an unfortunate early retirement.

He is currently based in Glasgow.
