World No Tobacco Smoking Day- Visit at ANF by The University of Lahore Students

Highlights

On May 31, 2023, on the occasion of World No Tobacco Smoking Day, a visit was organized at Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Punjab, Lahore Office to meet newly appointed Director Commander Raja Tarqi Kiyani to discuss their services about Drug Demand Reduction with the invitation from Assistant Director Maria Ali. Dr. Nazish Idrees, Assistant Professor, Lahore School of Behavioural Sciences (LSBS) led a group of 30 students from Allied Health Sciences and Clinical Psychology disciplines that are enrolled in bachelor's or master's degrees. After a fruitful exchange of dialogues on the current situation of drug abuse in Pakistan, the good news is that ANF declared the availability of internships and training series at ANF for the students and staff in The University of Lahore from all departments and disciplines throughout the year to become an ambassador of the Drug-Free Pakistan message. I am very grateful to the respected Deans, Head of the Department (LSBS), and OSA department for the facilitation to manage a souvenir from the Chaiman BOG office to present the Commander as a token of appreciation for the kind collaboration and hosting and university transport bus support for this visit. It was made possible due to the participation of all the involved and concerned. The opportunity offered is for throughout the year.
