Webinar | The Fusion of Substance Use and Sex
On November 6th 2020, ISSUP Philippines presented Part II of their upcoming Webinar Series. This Webinar focused on Best Practices: Understanding Why and How to Assess and Treat Co-occurring Disorders: Sex and Drugs.
The presentation explored how clinical assessments, questions of clinical disorders, tend to avoid asking about sex itself. Mental health and addiction professionals often have reservations in openly discussing a client’s childhood sexual trauma, or issues related to sexuality and intimate relationships.

Learning Outcomes:
• To be able to examine how treatment providers can improve overall clinical care and clinical outcomes by clearly and openly assessing for sexual ‘issues’ during treatment.
• To be able to create awareness on how special populations who suffer with SUDs are more vulnerable to co-occurring disorders.

A skilled clinical educator, Dr. Rob routinely provides training to therapists, hospitals, psychiatric organizations, and even the US military. Over the years, he has created and overseen nearly a dozen high-end addiction and mental health treatment facilities across the globe.
