Seaside Cottage School Program for Children

This was organized by ISSUP Nigeria, the Lagos State Chapter for the celebration of Children’s Day for the Nigerian Child, I was among the facilitators, the intervention focused on children at risk. The Seaside Cottage is in Bariga by the riverine of Lagos, which is notorious for drug use and culture. It is a common image to see adults smoking and taking drugs. 

The intervention taught the children refusal and assertive skills to overcome the pressure to use substance; for the drug literacy, the ability for children to obtain information, understand and use the information to guide them in decision making related to drug use.
