Naufar is Qatar’s national substance use disorder center for treatment, prevention, professional education and research. Naufar was established in 2017 by Emiri Decree, that recognized that addiction is a health issue. Naufar treats over 1000 patients and their families each year. Our services are evidence-based and culturally- adapted to the GCC. Our facilities include over 120 beds (in-patient treatment, residential rehabilitation) and extensive out-patient treatment and recovery interventions.  

Naufar is expanding and is looking to recruit a range of clinical staff with competence in SUD. Clinical staff must be fluent in Arabic and English. 

About the job

To assess required clinical knowledge, skills and related educational needs, planning appropriate education based on the needs assessment, implementation and evaluation of said educational programs, contributing to the development of an organisation- wide learning management system.

Clinical Education

  • Development of strategic clinical education plan, new hire education assessment, required education at time of on boarding, annual competency requirements and implementation of plan to meet these requirements, monthly education sessions based on new trends, needs assessments, implementation of new programs etc.
  • Ensure formal education presentations as appropriate.
  • Facilitate educational presentations from content experts (both Naufar and outside experts).
  • Provide both formal and informal education offerings for internal and external stakeholders in substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery.
  • Participate in care of the Naufar client in order to provide “real time” education and feedback to the front line caregivers
  • Ensure education activities meet required standards for accreditation with the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Healthcare Professions - Accreditation Section (DHP-AS)
  • Key role in the development of an integrated learning management system.

 

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing, Allied Health or any other related discipline.
  • Master of Science, Nursing, Allied Health, or any other related discipline.
  • Registered Healthcare practitioner (Nurse, Allied Health or other relevant healthcare discipline)

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of education delivery experience.
