For more than 25 years, we have provided guidance and advice on addictions and substance use to public, private and non-governmental organizations.
Our Vision is that all people in Canada live in a healthy society free of alcohol- and other drug-related harm.
Our Mission is to provide national leadership and advance solutions to address alcohol- and other drug-related harm.
Together with our partners, we are working to improve the health and safety of Canadians. We will achieve this goal by nurturing a knowledge exchange environment where research guides policy and evidence-informed actions enhance effectiveness in the field.
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction invites you to attend CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 conference. The conference takes place November 23–25, 2021, as part of National Addictions Awareness Week.
CCSA’s Issues of Substance is the flagship event of the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA), a non-profit organization that addresses issues related to substance use and addiction that affect the health and safety of Canadians.
Stigma is one of the biggest barriers people face when seeking and receiving care for substance use disorders. Direct service workers, including the law enforcement community, are often the first to respond to crisis situations with people experiencing substance-related harms, and they can play a major role in overcoming that stigma.
This webinar will describe technology-based approaches in substance use prevention and health promotion. It will include information on how technology-based interventions can address sex, gender, and intersectional equity considerations.
