Many of us are drawn to work in the field of substance use disorders due to our history, family, and personal traits, such as compassion and empathy. While these can be great assets, they can also be detrimental to us personally.

24-29 February 2020 - A team of national trainers from Central Asia attended the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) Regional Training of Trainers held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The US is experiencing a public health crisis. In the US in 2016 alone, there were over 63,000 drug poisoning deaths. Despite these concerning figures, it is estimated that fewer than 20% (3.8 million) receive treatment and for those who do receive support relapse rates are high.
