The Evolution of Addiction Treatment Conference was founded in 2011 by Allen Berger, Ph.D. and Andrew Martin, MBA, LAADC, SAP, CA-CSS and was purchased by C4 Recovery Foundation in 2017. EVOLUTION brings the most forward-thinking and effective therapeutic interventions and approaches directly to those that treat addiction. Since 2011, the conference has grown from 350 to over 600 attendees.

“It’s on Everyone’s Plate”: A Qualitative Study into Physicians’ Perceptions of Responsibility for Smoking Cessation
Little research has investigated in-depth how physicians perceive their role in smoking cessation care. This qualitative study sought to understand physicians’ perceptions of responsibility for smoking cessation.

Although cannabis use is federally prohibited, medical cannabis is legal in some form in 30 states and the District of Columbia, and recreational use is legal in 8 states and the District of Columbia. The increasing legal acceptance of cannabis has led to a burgeoning industry that is producing an expanding variety of cannabis products.
Prevalence of Tobacco Consumption among Young Physicians at a Regional University Hospital in Southern Spain
Introduction: The aim of the study is to analyse the prevalence of smoking among resident physicians at a regional university hospital. In addition, we examined the trends in the smoking behaviour of physicians in relation to results obtained in other studies carried out previously at this hospital, as well as those published nationally and internationally.
A free workshop aimed at GPs, Allied Health Practitioners, CCG leads for drugs, commissioners, consultants, service managers and other interested parties.
The workshop will explore:
(1) How to deliver evidence-based treatment alongside national and local policies.
(2) Opioid Substitution Treatment: how to dose effectively.
(3) How to ensure patients have choice.
Previous reports have shown that physicians who smoke underestimate the effects of smoking on health and this influences their practice. This study was designed to investigate the views of Estonian physicians on the role of smoking in smoking-related diseases.
