Collective Voice are delighted to welcome Dame Carol Black as the keynote speaker of our next webinar, presenting the findings from the second part of her Independent Review of Drugs.
Dame Carol's presentation will be followed by comments from Rosanna O'Connor, Interim Director, Health Improvement at Public Health England.
Dame Carol and Rosanna will then take questions.
The event will be chaired by Paul Townsley, CEO of Humankind and Chair of Collective Voice.
The first part of Dame Carol's seminal review looked at drug supply and demand. The second part shifts its focus to treatment, recovery and prevention, and is likely to make major recommendations for the field and the people it serves.
With publication of the review imminent, the recent £80m funding, the upheaval in national public health structures and creation of the Office for Health Promotion and a government Spending Review expected in the Autumn, this year may yet herald the most significant opportunities for reform and investment seen in a decade.
