MOVING TO A BETTER WORLD FOR PATIENTS WITH EATING DISORDERS AND THEIR CARERS
Registration is open for one of the most important events in the international eating disorder community -- the European Chapter pre-conference to the International Conference of Eating Disorders.
The World Hepatitis Summit (WHS) is an innovative, large-scale, global meeting to advance the viral hepatitis agenda and provide a platform for a broad hepatitis community to take stock of progress to date, share ideas, experiences and best practices in addressing the many challenges of viral hepatitis.
It is the only global hepatitis conference that is focused on public health and it provides an unrivalled opportunity to focus a global audience on the implementation of a viral hepatitis response and so drive progress to make the elimination of viral hepatitis a reality.
The 9th European Alcohol Policy Conference will take place in Oslo, 16 – 17 June 2022.
This conference will be a space in which speakers and participants with diverse experiences (researchers, policy makers, civil society organisations and academia) will be able to network, debate, question and place critical issues related to alcohol-related harm policies and progress.
Care for co-occurring heavy alcohol use & depression
Location: Online, United Kingdom
Background: Alcohol use and depression commonly co-occur, but services for substance use and mental health are seldom well-integrated, meaning people who experience heavy drinking and depression together can struggle to gain appropriate support.
In this presentation, we draw on data from a study conducted in the North East of England to consider:
1) material and discursive factors that shape the care experienced by people with heavy alcohol use and depression; 2) what these care experiences mean for their lives and future service provision.
The ADDICTION Practitioners Forum 2022 will be held as an online CPD event on 28 & 29 June 2022 in association with ITTC and the ISSUP South Africa Chapter.
This forum will explore prevention and treatment modalities and capacity building for prevention and treatment practitioners.
